John gained the base of his electrical knowledge and his leadership skills while serving in the United States Marine Corps as a communications, navigations, and weapons systems technician on AV8B’s. He was meritoriously promoted twice and honorably discharged in 1996 after seven years of active duty service, including participation in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. While working as a very successful Field Superintendent, Mr. Schaffhouser attained the highly-respected Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. John’s experiences cover many venues such as food production and automotive manufacturing which includes both Tier 1 and Tier 2 environments. Additionally, his project experience includes power generation, commercial, and many others. John has over 20 years of electrical contracting experience. Using his motivational and leadership skills sets, John has created a corporate environment wherein customers are highly valued. With this focus on customer satisfaction, the business has been successful, and Schaffhouser Electric Company, LLC has developed strong working relationships with top brand customers including many Fortune 500 companies. In these relationships, John leads the senior management team in establishing goals to ensure projects are accomplished on schedule and within budget.
Starting her career, Mrs. Schaffhouser spent several years in a Pharmacy dealing with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, insurance companies and the myriad of other activities associated with a high volume pharmacy. This aggressive start coupled with securing her RN license gives her a level of management skills rarely seen in this business. From managing time, people, budgets and daily administrative operations, Mrs. Schaffhousers skills are critical to this rapidly expanding business. Michelle is an integral part of the top executive team reporting directly to the CEO. She knows how to keep things in order and adds a strategic vision to everyday activities. Michelle is involved in and assists with strategic planning, implementing policies, organizing and coordinating inter- and intradepartmental operations, resource allocation and budgeting. Finally, her oversight for AP, AR company paperwork and assisting the CEO and CSO with the myriad of details in the day to day operations makes her an invaluable part of Schaffhouser Electric. Michelle’s goal is to ensure the smooth running of the business according to established policies and vision.
J.R. started his career in the Army in 1994. He later attended Jackson State Community College for an Associates in Business Management and then DeVry University for Electronic Engineering. While working in engineering for IBP and Tyson Foods, he attended Garden State Community College for Ammonia Operator 1 and Process Safety Management. He finished his manufacturing engineering career with Tennessee Bun Company as a Director of Engineering. Since being at Schaffhouser Electric, J.R. has attended Perdue University ABC Project Management Institute. He currently works with our technical team to provide our customers with technological and engineering support. Additionally, Mr. Wilson oversees the design, development, implementation and installation of UL Listed control panels for a variety of clientele in the manufacturing community. These UL control systems are unique and certainly speaks to J. R.’s ability to quickly communicate and grasp the requirements for an applicable control scenario for any given situation.
Jim started his electrical career in 1995 with Davis Electric at a Willamette Paper Mill, coupling that with extensive experience gained at Tyson Foods Mr. Schaffhouser is well suited to lead large projects within the heavy industry sector. Jim’s experiences in working with installation crews, plant managers, and plant engineers have provided him valuable insight into the criticality of setting project milestones and deadlines employing clear communications and more importantly monitoring these goals and seeing efforts come to fruition. In addition to this environment, Jim has had substantial exposure to large scale commercial projects including Time Warner Offices in Nashville, Tennessee. Jim also holds a Master Electricians License in Kentucky.
